A winter weather pileup has closed both directions of a portion of I-80 in Wyoming, police say.
Just after 1 p.m. on Friday, March 20, the Wyoming Highway Patrol reported a multiple vehicle crash on I-80 near mile marker 331.
Images captured at the scene show several semi trucks involved in the pileup. There is no word yet on how many vehicles were involved or whether there were injuries.
Trooper say that I-80 is closed in both directions between Cheyenne and Laramie.
As of noon, the Wyoming Department of Transportation estimated that I-80 would remain closed for 14 to 16 hours.
Earlier this month, a massive pileup involving more than 100 vehicles occurred on Wyoming I-80 at mile marker 184. Three people lost their lives in the March 1 crash.
This is a developing story.
